My Holiday in Lanzarote in May 2006

This is a view from the hotel balcony that let us see how to get out to the shops in a wheelchair. They had ramps that were ok.

This is another view from the balcony.

After the volcano all the houses and hotels have to be built four stories high, all in white, blue for the sea and dark brown, so that people can remember the tragedy of hundreds of people.

Juan took this of me sitting in front of the hotel.

This is me down at the pool. I sat there waiting on Juan for about an hour.

This is me at the back of the hotel, I was waiting on Juan coming down from the room. He took so long that I went for my lunch and he was not pleased.

This is one of the volcanoes that Juan and I visited. It is still alive and it was a nice view.

This is the start of the tour that Juan and I went on. The picture above is part of the same volcano and there is another picture taken from the other side.

This is another part of the volcano which is all black and with some red ash. As there was no life even the water and the fish don't survive the volcano.

This is me and Juan on a camel. He took my photo as we were going up to see another volcano.

This was the camel that I was riding. It was good as it took us up to one of the volcanoes.

This is a group that was on the camels so Juan just took their photo. They were going up to see another volcano.

This is a view from the camels showing the car park, and other volcanoes in the distance.

This is another view of the other volcanoes which are there.

This is me again in front of the camel's, after being up to see the volcano I just got of when Juan took my photo it was a very hot day.

This is a Toilet for visitors outside where the camels were it is so clean and different marble stones it was so nice Juan just had to take a picture of this why I don't know.

This is me standing outside the museum where the volcano happened and this is all black stone in the background.

This is a view of one of the volcanoes which we saw there.

This a photo of me down at the promenade after Juan, had bent my foot plate, the water was so blue.

This is a statue of the place which had all the volcanoes in it. Its all black ash.

This is the same part but as you can see the water and the ash of the volcanoes made all the stones just like steps they look so nice.

This is the same part of the road which takes you round to a nice pool of green water.

This is another view from high up on the volcano which you can see all thedifferent colours that are there.

This is another part of the volcano, taken from the other side. You see you have the water blue and another part it is all green. That was with the ash it turned the water so green that there was no life in it at all.

The water is actually blue but is comes into there rocks and all the ash on the rocks through the volcano. This is a photo looking down into it.

This is a view from the top of one of the volcanoes where the water was coming in. It came in that fast it was like a washing machine at full blast. The water was green as it hit the rocks. Also this is me in the path of two German girls, and there was a tv camera there to.

This is what you call a salt field. What they do is get the sand and also the salt from the sea and they sell it to other countries. It's a very good idea and its helps the people to get back on their feet.

This is view from the volcano it is still alive today, as you can see the smoke coming out the ground  and the flames too.

This is a view over all the volcanoes right down to car park.

This is a view from the bus the landscape is very beautiful.

This is a view from the bus again of the inside of the volcano from another side as the bus took us round.

This is a boulder with when the volcano erupted it landed her in this park.

This is what it was like it was all black ash and some red ash as well .

This is the back of the volcano. It let us see how much ash of all different colours turned out.

This is the hill from the front side of the volcano.

These are some plants starting to grow on the hill of the volcano.

This is a cacti farm where the cacti flowers at night.

This is a view from the bus which took us round all the volcanoes.

There is a lot of black rock in Lanzarote but they also have some nice beaches. This one is nice as we can see blue bits, green bits and brown bits.

A famous artist died here. You would never think of having his work in your house. There is a coffee table and a large couch in the background.

In the art museum here is one of the original stones from the volcano.

Believe this is still in the art gallery. It is called the ice cave where the sea comes in and the water is green.

This is a wee cacti farm that Juan wanted to go and see. Then he took my photo with all the cacti in the background and the volcano

This is one of the amazing things in the cactus farm. It is a woman holding her baby

This is west side of Lanzarote where we stopped to have a look at one of the other islands in the distance. There was so much lovely sand and the water was nice and clean.

This was the famous artist that was on the island and this is some of his work inside and outside.

This is at the north face of Lanzarote where there is a marvellous view to another island.

This is another view and from where I am standing I can see right over to the next island. The sand was looking like silk.

This a the view of the toilet up there Juan had a thing about taking pictures of the toilets there as they were so clean and all made of marble its nice.

This is a view from the boat of a very nice beach that a lot of people go to. It is topless for all men and woman of all ages.

This was when Juan and myself went on a boat that had a glass bottom and we could see the fish swimming.

The staff on the boat took my camera and took some pictures of all the different fish there.
