Apple and Pear Crumble

Ingredients (Serves 4-6)

500g (1 lb) cooking apples, peeled, cored and chopped
500g (1 lb) firm pears, peeled cored and chopped
2-3 tbsp granulated sugar

Put the apples and pears in pie dish. Cover it with sugar

For the topping
250g plain flour
125g margarine
125g sugar

  1. Rub the flour and margarine together until the mixture is like fine breadcrumbs
  2. Mix in the sugar and spread on top of the fruit
  3. Cook in the oven at 190C for half an hour and you can serve with yogurt or fresh cream.
