- Peel potatoes, cut in half put on the boil until soft.
 - Place fish in a pan with a little milk and simmer for five minutes until cooked.
 
 - Remove potatoes from the boil and drain.  Add a knob of butter and a
splash of milk to the pot and mash the potatoes until light and fluffy.
 
 - Flake the cooked fish into the pot, and add a pinch of mixed herbs, salt
and pepper. Mix together.
 
 - Take a handful of the mixture and roll into a ball.  Flatten the
ball with a rolling pin an inch thick.  Do the same with the rest of the
mixture.
 
 - Place some oil in a pan heat on a medium heat.  Place the fish
cakes into the pan and heat lightly browned on both sides.
